Ms Jin Loh trained a student from absolute beginner all the way through Grade 8, with grade-skipping throughout. The student achieved Distinction in every examination — in both ABRSM (UK) and Trinity College London — under Ms Jin Loh’s tutelage.

Invited to perform at the ABRSM High Scorers Concert and Trinity College London High Scorers Concert, the student represented Malaysia at the 8th ABRSM Global High Scorers Concert 2022, alongside students from 26 countries worldwide.

Repertoire: Classical Opera (Italian, German, French, English) and Musical Theatre.

Having returned to Malaysia from the United Kingdom, Dr. Imran’s family — both parents being Specialist Doctors — entrusted Ms Jin Loh with his musical education from a young age. What began as a young boy’s introduction to the cello has continued for 13 unbroken years, even through the MCO lockdown period — a quiet reflection of the steady relationship between student and teacher.

Under Ms Jin Loh’s tutelage, Dr. Imran has studied two instruments — cello from boyhood, with weekly cello lessons committed throughout, and later singing, which he took up some years afterwards as a second discipline. He has continued both, side by side, all the way through to becoming a qualified Medical Doctor.

2025: Dr. Imran achieved Distinction in ABRSM (UK) Grade 8 Singing (Musical Theatre). He kindly acknowledged Ms Jin Loh in his official World Online Music Competitions Organization (WOMCO) winner speech video and in the WOMCO Iconic Magazine — a gesture of generosity that meant a great deal.
